Ben Davis Duo Enjoys Indiana Visit

Indianapolis (Ind.) Ben Davis has a very talented 2015 class and two of the standouts in quarterback Kyle Castner and linebacker Asmar Bilal visited Indiana on Sunday for a fall camp practice.

Castner is also hearing from Cincinnati, Louisville & Purdue.

The Hoosiers coaching staff is high on both the 6-foot-3, 190-pound Castner and 6-foot-3, 195-pound Bilal early in the recruiting process.

“Right now they’re just keeping an eye on me,” Castner said. “They said I’m in a good position right now and I have to keep working like I usually do.”

Castner and Bilal made the trip to the Bloomington campus with several of their coaches.

“We got to meet a couple players and meet their coaches,” Castner recapped. “I really liked what they do and what their quarterbacks play like. It’s very detailed and very down to earth. It’s really team-oriented.”

Bilal echoed some of Castner’s thoughts.

“It was live,” Bilal said. “The emotion was great. Very team oriented. It was a great experience.”

As a sophomore, Castner completed 151 of 249 passes (61 percent) for 1,637 yards and 10 touchdowns. Bilal returned a punt for a touchdown and the Ben Davis coaching staff is expecting a big season out of him this fall.
