  • I am going to bump this back to the first page, And pin it for awhile. As I feel it is important.

From working with the II, and 247 staff, I have found them to be very attentive when ever a problem crops up. Here are several ways to contact them, should you ever have a problem

  • Wow. So I was charged $107.40 for the VIP stuff following the free trial from my HSN transition, despite the fact that it CLEARLY stated I was still "On the free trial". Very ambiguous 247, but ultimate my own fault!

I call the contact number and reached a gentleman with a southern accent who represented 247Sports and let him know my situation without placing an ounce of the blame on 247 or mentioning the ambiguity of the whole sign-up process for those who actually aren't looking to sign up but simply take advantage of a great deal offered to those from HSN.

I let him know I just don't have the money right now and politely asked for a refund and he arrogantly cuts me off and states he'll do this "one time" and cancel my account and offer a "one time" refund. I did say thank you very much then proceeded to ask when I could expect the refund to be processed, or if he knew but before I could get words in he just hung up on me.

To the guys that ran HSN, thanks for not being like this.

EDIT: Just called back to apologize for the inconvenience, hung up on once again. That is absolutely poor customer service.

Ouch. I had that sort of mishap happen with another recruiting site. They didn't treat me like a war criminal though.
To avoid that on 247, I took the monthly fee option, but decided to stick around "VIP" for a bit.

I really like the site and the community, which is why i'm not taking this as a total reflection of the site, but of an isolated case. If it happens in the future for any reason though, it'll be difficult to not see it as something more than just a one time thing. The guy I spoke with was short with me, and I understand his frustration for having to refund me, but who's to say I wasn't going to subscribe in the future? Think a little bit further down the road when dealing with customers, ya know?

  • ^^^McNutty1. I am personally very disappointed in hearing what happened to you. We did not join 247 to ever have valued members, or any members for that matter mistreated. I am sorry to hear that you were mistreated.

I would like to clarify a few things in your post. And then ask a question of you.

First of all, the free trial period was something that 247 offered to all of our members when we first agreed to join with them. HSN thought it was a gracious offer. But we had nothing to do with the offer. Nor the terms of the offer.

Second. The guys who run Hoosier Sports Nation still have control over the content posted here. It is still our board. That was one term of our agreement with 247. As the 247 people have lived up to their terms of that agreement with us. Allowing us to run this site as before, as far as content is concerned. They have never instructed us in any way, shape or form as to how to run these boards. It is still a forum of, by and for the members.

Now the question. If you have the name of the person who you spoke to at 247, I would like you to pm that to me. There should never be a reason for a person intrusted with a job dealing with our members should ever mistreat one of members.

Not cool how you were treated. I will follow up on this.
