Every week, rounds up stats and results from Indiana commitments’ high school games, and previews what’s next for each future Hoosier. Because of technical difficulties, we did not bring you last week’s schedule. Please accept our apologies, and we promise to get you set for sectionals this weekend.

Antonio Allen — safety, Indianapolis Ben Davis

Allen’s season ended last weekend with 35-25 sectional loss at Pike. The Giants finished the year 8-2 and they were ranked No. 2 overall in the final regular-season Class 5A poll.

David Kenney — defensive end, Indianapolis Pike

Kenney tallied four tackles, one for loss, and a pass deflection in Pike’s 24-23 win at Zionsville last weekend. The Red Devils (8-3) play for a sectional championship tonight at Avon.

Danny Friend — tight end, Morris (Ill.) Community

Friend tallied two tackles and two sacks in Morris’ 44-0 first-round playoff win against Rich East last weekend. The Redskins (9-1) face Urbana in round two, at 4 p.m. Saturday.

Evan Jansen — tight end, Cincinnati (Ohio) Archbishop Moeller

Jansen’s stats were unavailable following Moeller’s 45-42 win against Louisville (Ky.) Trinity last weekend. The Crusaders (7-3) begin playoff action with a 7 p.m. Saturday home game vs. Wayne.

Anthony Young — wide receiver, Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward

Young caught a flea-flicker pass for a touchdown in St. Edward’s 20-13 win against St. Ignatius last weekend. The Eagles (10-0) begin the playoffs this weekend, with a 7 p.m. kickoff against Cleveland Heights.

Isaac Griffith — wide receiver, Fort Wayne Homestead

Griffith’s season ended with a 30-20 sectional loss to Snider last weekend. Homestead finished the season 9-1, ranked No. 9 overall in the last regular-season Class 5A poll.

Chase Dutra — wide receiver/safety, Brownsburg

Dutra’s season ended with a 19-17 loss to Zionsville. The Bulldogs finished the season 9-1, ranked No. 7 overall in the last regular-season Class 5A poll.

Rashard Fant — athlete, Our Lady of Mercy

Fant totaled 181 all-purpose yards and had two pass break-ups in a 68-7 win against Mount Vernon last weekend. Our Lady of Mercy has this weekend off.

Jacobi Hunter — defensive tackle, Houston (Texas) Cypress Falls

Hunter’s stats were unavailable following Cy Falls’ 35-10 win against Cypress Woods last weekend. The Eagles (7-1) travel to Cy-Fair on Saturday, with kickoff set for 1 p.m.

Patrick Dougherty — defensive lineman, Aurora (Ohio)

Dougherty helped Aurora (9-1) to a 48-20 win against Kenston last weekend. The Greenman face New Philadelphia at 7:30 p.m. Friday, in the first round of the playoffs.

Myles Graham — running back, Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna

Graham is out for the season after having surgery to fully repair an old injury.

Jordan Heiderman — defensive tackle, Iowa Western Community College

Heiderman and the Reivers notched another heavy win, beating Ellsworth Community College 65-14 last weekend. Western (9-0) begins playoff action this weekend against North Dakota State College of Science. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. Saturday, with the Reivers on the road.

Clyde Newton — running back/linebacker, Punta Gorda (Fla.) Charlotte

Newton had 30 carries for 215 yards and a touchdown in Charlotte’s 28-27 loss to South Fort Myers last weekend. It’s unclear whether he played defense as well. The Fightin’ Tarpons (5-3) face Port Charlotte at 7:30 p.m. Friday on the road.
