For the third straight year, an IU signee will participate in the McDonald’s All-American game.
New Hampton (N.H.) wing Noah Vonleh, who signed with Indiana on Nov. 14, 2012, was selected to the East team in the McDonald’s All-American game, it was announced Thursday.
The game will take place Wednesday, April 3 at 9:30 at the United Center in Chicago. Vonleh is the only current Big Ten signee or commit to be playing in the game. Three players have not yet made a decision.
Two seasons ago, current sophomore forward Cody Zeller participated on the game and last season, current freshman guard Yogi Ferrell was in the game. Both Ferrell and Zeller — Indiana natives — played for the West team.
Recently, the 6-foot-9, 220-pound wing was selected to play in the Jordan Brand Classic, which is set to be played at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on April 13.
Vonleh is a five-star prospect according to 247Composite whose recruitment picked up greatly when he reclassified to the 2013 class in September. He officially visited Indiana on Nov. 9 and committed immediately afterward.
