
Indiana has several active alumni in the NFL, and the ranks of former Hoosiers playing professionally has swelled this season, with the addition of Marcus Thigpen to the Miami Dolphins. Each week, InsideIndiana.com will run down how each former Hoosier fared in the previous weekend.
James Brewer — offensive lineman, New York Giants
Brewer did not appear in the Giants’ 29-24 win against Dallas this past weekend. He has played in two games so far this season. The Giants (6-2) host Pittsburgh at 4:25 p.m. Sunday.
Tandon Doss — wide receiver, Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens (5-2) had a bye last weekend. They travel to Cleveland on Sunday, with kickoff set for 1 p.m.
Tracy Porter — cornerback, Denver Broncos
Porter was sidelined through illness as Denver beat the Saints 34-14 Sunday. The Broncos (4-3) travel to Paul Brown Stadium on Sunday for a 1 p.m. kickoff against Cincinnati.
Courtney Roby — wide receiver, New Orleans Saints
Roby posted no catches in the Saints’ 34-14 loss to Denver this weekend. New Orleans (2-5) hosts the Eagles at 8:30 p.m. Monday.
Roger Saffold — offensive tackle, St. Louis Rams
Saffold is on the bench with a sprained MCL, suffered in September. The Rams (3-5) lost 45-7 to New England in a game played at Wembley Stadium in London. St. Louis has the coming week off.
Marcus Thigpen — running back/kick returner, Miami Dolphins
Thigpen ran two kickoffs back for a total of 78 yards, and he brought back two punts for a total of 26 yards in the Dolphins’ 30-9 win against the Jets this past weekend. Miami (4-3) travels to Indianapolis this weekend, for a 1 p.m. Sunday tilt with the Colts.
