On the importance of the S-Curve

Indiana 88, Florida Atlantic 52

Indiana slid in ESPN's latest NCAA Tournament projection from a No. 1 to a No. 2 seed. There's time enough for IU to rise again, and its Big Ten start is important there.

    • What if the Hoosiers get the highest seed in the B10 as a No. 2 seed due B10 attrition? (leaving Duke, L-Ville, Kansas and Arizona/Syracuse as No. 1 seeds?). Maybe we back in to Indy?

    • IU takes care of business they get a #1 seed..they don't..its not deserved. I think they will!

At that point, Louisville would take Indianapolis, but yes, it might then be possible, considering the strength of the Big Ten, for IU to be the top No. 2 seed and, potentially, slip into the Midwest Regional as well. But the only sure way to control its destiny is for IU to finish as a 1-seed higher than Michigan and Louisville, something it certainly has the opportunity to do.
