
Indiana has several active alumni in the NFL, and the ranks of former Hoosiers playing professionally has swelled this season, with the addition of Marcus Thigpen to the Miami Dolphins. Each week, InsideIndiana.com will run down how each former Hoosier fared in the previous weekend.
James Brewer — offensive lineman, New York Giants
According to his NFL bio page, Brewer appeared in the Giants’ (3-2) 41-27 win over Cleveland this past weekend. It was Brewer’s second appearance of the season. New York travel to San Francisco this weekend, for a 4:25 p.m. Sunday game.
Tandon Doss — wide receiver, Baltimore Ravens
Doss did not post any catches in the Ravens’ 9-6 win against the Chiefs last weekend. On the season, he has two catches for 45 yards. Baltimore (4-1) hosts Dallas at 1 p.m. Sunday.
Tracy Porter — cornerback/nickel back, Denver Broncos
Porter posted six tackles in the Broncos’ 31-21 loss to New England on Sunday. On the season, Porter has 21 tackles and an interception, which he returned for a touchdown.
Courtney Roby — wide receiver, New Orleans Saints
Roby tallied two special teams tackles in the Saints’ 31-24 win against San Diego this weekend. On the season, Roby has one catch for nine yards, and he’s also returned a blocked punt for a touchdown. New Orleans (1-4) travels to Tampa Bay on Sunday, for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
Roger Saffold — offensive tackle, St. Louis Rams
Saffold is on the bench with a sprained MCL, which has kept him sidelined for several weeks. The Rams defeated Arizona 17-3 in his absence. St. Louis is now 3-2, with a 1 p.m. kickoff at Miami on tap for Sunday.
Marcus Thigpen — running back/kick returner, Miami Dolphins
Thigpen returned one kickoff for 30 yards and two punts for 15 yards in the Dolphins’ 17-13 win in Cincinnati. On the season, Thigpen has 11 kick returns for a total of 282 yards and 12 punt returns for a total of 174 yards and a touchdown. Miami (2-3) hosts St. Louis at 1 p.m. Sunday.
