Antonio Allen — safety, Indianapolis Ben Davis
Allen registered eight tackles in preseason 5A No. 4 Ben Davis’ 24-21 win against preseason 4A No. 1 Cathedral. The Giants are now 1-0. They next travel to Pike for a 7 p.m. Friday match-up.
Demetrius Hill — defensive end, Fort Scott (Kan.) Community College
Hill’s season begins when Fort Scott travels to Highland (Kan.) Community College on Aug. 25.
Danny Friend — tight end, Morris (Ill.) Community
Friend’s season begins with an Aug. 24 trip to rival Minooka, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. local time.
Evan Jansen — tight end, Cincinnati (Ohio) Archbishop Moeller
Jansen’s season begins with an Aug. 26 game against Gilman School, played at Kings High School. That game will kick off at 7 p.m.
Isaac Griffith — wide receiver, Fort Wayne Homestead
Griffith caught five passes for 92 yards and one touchdown, and he passed for one score as well, as preseason 5A No. 11 Fort Wayne Homestead defeated Huntington North 53-12. The Spartans, now 1-0, travel to Warsaw on Friday night, with kickoff set for 7 p.m..
Chase Dutra — wide receiver/safety, Brownsburg
Dutra impacted across the box score this weekend, registering 65 rushing yards on 13 carries, grabbing one pass for 16 yards and registering a tackle. He also blocked a field goal and returned a punt 73 yards for a touchdown, as preseason 5A No. 13 Brownsburg defeated McCutcheon 36-9. The Bulldogs are now 1-0. They travel to Noblesville next week for a 7 p.m. Friday showdown.
Patrick Dougherty — defensive lineman, Aurora (Ohio)
Aurora begins its 2012 season with an Aug. 24 trip to Twinsburg, with kickoff set for 7 p.m.
Myles Graham — running back, Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna
Chaminade-Madonna begins its 2012 season with a Sept. 7 home game against Village Academy. Kickoff has yet to be announced.
