Perhaps Ron Patterson did not do all that was needed to stay at Indiana this fall, but the manner in which his exit was affected leaves a bitter taste toward the system.

Given the recent "pub" about Lyles and now Patterson, I doubt if anyone in the b-ball program had a good nights sleep. Those two departures give competing recruiters a lot of ammo given the misleading statements made during recruiting anyway. Re: Patterson I really feel for the kid..but best for all concerned..including Ron..that his academic deficiences be determined now..and get corrected. Flunking out going into his Jr. year..etc would have been a real disaster. Hope he tries prep school and gives IU another crack at recruiting him
