The coach of a top AAU team also runs a nonprofit foundation that mixes basketball and education -- but are the connections too friendly with some collegiate programs?
mkillian247 on twitter..... I say a lot of stuff you wont care about.
I'm working on this right now. It's going to take just a bit -- it's a lot to digest and deal with.
My initial takeaway, frankly -- and I said this on Twitter -- is that it offers a lot of chest beating without as much substance. It only tangentially involves Indiana, even though Tom Crean's picture is in the photographic at the top. The only potential alleged violation would not have been committed by IU. And there are some noticeable holes in the story.
I'm not trying to sound like I'm defending one side or another -- that's certainly not my job. But the story does not at this point contain a smoking gun as proof of anything.
I'll have more this afternoon.
