This is making the rounds on Twitter, so I thought I'd post it here. It's essentially boilerplate stuff, the same posting that gets thrown up onto the IU jobs board whenever there's an opening. These sorts of things are required, usually, at a state university, but that's not what's interesting.
What's interesting is this: This particular listing is accepting applications until May 10, "or until position is filled." The same posting, wording and everything, was up two weeks ago. At the time, it said it was accepting applications until April 19 ("or until position is filled" of course).
Why the reposting, or at very least the deadline extension? I'm not entirely sure. Calbert Cheaney seemed a likely candidate, and he's been acting in the position on an interim basis for some time now. But the extension says the program isn't ready to fill that spot yet, which is rather confusing.
CBS Sports' Jeff Goodman tweeted today that Indiana will interview Kenny Johnson, an assistant at Towson who has connections from prior stops in his career to D.C.-area AAU power Team TakeOver. Johnson also coached in the prestigious Catholic league in the region, at Paul IV.
Anyway, it's worth noting that this posting was expected to be exhausted by the end of last week, yet it remains up now. Just wanted to pass it along.

Johnson seems like a nice pick-up if we get him.
It would make a lot of sense, based on his connections, just in the sense that that area of the country is one Indiana has really focused on in recruiting. I know someone compared him to Roshown McLeod, but I think his influence would be a fair bit more broad than McLeod's, just in terms of where he has been.
