Indiana got the physical test it expected from Butler on Saturday. It was a test the Hoosiers failed roundly, one that left them with important questions in need of answers.

  • After a constant dose of weaker and smaller schools- IU needed this type of challenge- kudos to Butler for bringing a healthy contingent of fans and having a great game plan. With Jordy trying to check Roosevelt Jones- he had a career game by backing him down and out muscling him inside.

IU committed way too many turnovers and Andrew Smith did great battling Cody and beating him on the boards.

The worst thing for IU is that the next three "Doba games" are unlikely to do much besides get Hanner, Peter and Derek alittle game action!

  • Obviously incredibly frustrating. IU got Straight up out-hustled. Cody is not aggressive/physical enough down low and needs to be a bigger factor when the transition game isn't happening.

Despite the points, I thought the IU defense was not too bad. Clarke really had to earn every shot. Oladipo was great on him.

Yes, this does not mean they are not a final 4 contender. Still think they are one of the top 3 teams along with duke and Louisville. Just should have been able to close this one out.

  • Anyone who watched this game knows that Butler earned this victory. The only player for IU who played well was Oladipo. No one else could say that that they plated to their potential. There can be no excuse for the lack of rebounding seen tonight. I saw a lot of frustration and very little cohesion. Cody Zeller was not the best big man on the floor tonight. Watford was nobody's matchup nightmare. Butler had the best 2 guards on the floor. It concerns me that we were told IU came in expecting such a game, had supposedly prepared for same, and still was flat out beaten. My hat is off to Bultler, they earned it!

  • Crean got out coached at the end pure and simple.Butler brought more toughness and team concept to each end of the floor. I think IU had indigestion from eating all those cupcakes and couldn't handle the physical play the Dogs are known for and IU expected. When your front line gets manhandled not much good happens. Love your 4th to last para..says it all.

  • Also, IU has played better as the hunter as opposed to the hunted. Need to find away to bring out that mentality.

I agree with this entirely. Hoosiers looked uncomfortable even with the lead Saturday.

  • Yea it was like Hoosiers were saying "Gee these guys push back".

  • Your best player (arguably) and the best player in college basketball (arguably) who is also 7 feet tall needs to be on the floor with the game on the line. In my opinion.
