... Cuz why not?
Xavier working its way slowly back into this one. Then Pierre Jackson nails a 3-pointer to push the lead back to 15.

Acy picks up a flagrant one chopping down on Kenny Frease on a block attempt. He makes both then hits a layup on the ensuing possession. Big sequence for the Muskies.
Well now Xavier has the lead down to nine. Baylor shooting a lot of threes, and they haven't been going in lately.
Kenny Frease of Xavier putting the Musketeers on his back. Already 12 points. Baylor lead slimmed to five with 2:06 left in the first half. Score sits at 33-28 in favor of the Bears.

Good lord, the Baylor uniforms... why? #SafetyYellow
And greetings from the Wrigleyville Office
Baylor... maddening stuff. Could be up 50. Now struggling and up six
Big shot there at the end though to extend their lead and grab a hair of momentum back. Bears up seven at the half.
Agreed. So much athleticism on Baylor... its like a Lou Henson late 80s Illini team. Maddening at times.
ION: currently listening to this song (a break in between IU songs)
Russ Ballard's "Voices" - no real reason either.

Good to see you, Cutter. Will be on the Live Chat, too, I expect?
Quincy Acy just got dirty on Kenny Frease. Feels like Baylor is in control again.
How's everyone feeling tonight?

Still plenty of basketball left, but as Zach said, the Bears seem in control despite Frease's efforts. Just too athletic, and I can't see Xavier running with them for much longer. It's 44-37 with 14:47 left in the game.
Feeling good, boss. Some good basketball going on here. Hopefully more to come in the next hour.
Thanks Sean. I will try to be everywhere as long as my nerves and attention span can handle it.
Hard to see how that wasn't a foul. Either way, after a furious stretch, Frease has kinda disappeared.
Of course he would score as soon as I write that.
The under-12 timeout has Baylor up 49-42. Xavier still hanging in there with 14 points from Frease and 12 chipped in by Tu Holloway. Acy and Pierre Jackson have 12 and 10, respectively, but Acy has three fouls to his name. Could be a big factor going forward.
Well, scratch the question on Quincy Acy. Playing a man's game right now with a metric ton in dunk force to go with it. He has 16 points to go with 13 rebounds, and Baylor leads 60-50 with 4:14 to go in the game.
Baylor putting this one away. Looks like tip time will be delayed a bit by the end of this one. Bears up 67-54 with 2:19 left.
There's 2:19 left, and Baylor leads by 13. A Pierre Jackson 3-pointer just about sealed this one, barring a remarkable comeback by Xavier. Next up is the show you've been waiting for. Hop on the live chat or the other game thread when you're ready, folks.

Uh oh. Intrigue in Atlanta. Xavier cuts it to six. It's 69-63 with 1:15 left in the game.
Xavier catches a huge break on a missed out-of-bounds call, then Tu Holloway — an 86 percent free throw shooter — misses an freebie. Yikes.
And Holloway makes up for it. Holy cow. Hits two free throws on another chance, huge shot just now to cut it to three. Just 17.6 seconds left.
