Given how horrific Roberson's injury looked on replay, the half could have ended much worse. Indiana kept its head and its poise and didn't offer UMass a way back into the game, scoring 17 points after he went down.
Obviously, the Minutemen aren't much of a test (38-6 tells a tale), but it's still important to see the Hoosiers put their foot on the gas when they have the advantage. That's something this team hasn't done much in the past.
More coming at the start of the third, obviously. There's been no official word in the press box on Roberson yet.

Rain starting to really come down. Offenses slowing down and Coffman drops the snap on third down and takes a sack. IU punts and UMass will take the ball with 9:51 left in the third quarter.

Kenny Mullen has made some solid tackles today. Not many of the IU defenders seem to be bringing the ball carrier down on first contact today except him. Especially in space.
Not trying to be too hard on Coffman. I know he was put in a tough situation. But he's just not got the same rhythm Roberson had dropping back. To be fair, that can often be fixed or at least remedied somewhat with practice. Still, replacing Roberson will be tough.
Indiana not capitalizing on chances to create turnovers today, something the coaching staff won't be happy with.
Coffman finds TE Charles Love III for a touchdown with 13 minutes left in the game. IU up 45-6 now.
With 11 minutes left, we get our first look at Nate Sudfeld, who hands it off on his first two snaps.
...and it ends with a three-and-out.
Thanks fr the updates. I'm stuck at work and can't watch. Sad to hear about Roberson, hopefully it's one of those look worse than it is.
mkillian247 on twitter..... I say a lot of stuff you wont care about.
Indiana's defensive effort shouldn't be discounted today though. The Hoosiers haven't let UMass get any kind of rhythm in anything today.
A fairly uneventful second half comes to a close, and IU wins it 45-6. First time they've had two consecutive wins since 2010.
