Band Day here at Memorial Stadium and the trumpet player second from the left in the 19th row is clearly the best of the bunch.

We are about to return here. Ball State will get the ball first.

As Zach said, punting is again hurting IU. Voss averaging 31 yards on three punts. Another key moment in the field position battle was the failed fourth down conversion for IU that gave the Cardinals the ball at the IU 45.
Also, neither team has been able to stop the other in the red zone (teams a combined 5-5). IU again hasn't been able to force a turnover, though there were a couple occasions when the ball popped loose and the Ball State runner was down.

We're back, and Ball State's first play goes for a first down.
Really good defense from Brian Williams on that pass. He's had some shaky moments, but Williams has really come along in the first three games. He's basically played Lawrence Barnett to the bench tonight.
Ball State looks good in coverage on that three-and-out by Indiana.
Not Kenny Mullen's finest hour. He recognized the throwback to the QB in time, but then he barely defended the ball on the throw. He probably committed pass interference, and Wenning caught the ball anyway. Ball State PAT good, Cardinals lead 31-25.
And Ball State still doesn't have a scoring drive longer than 56 yards.
Hoosiers are making it far to easy on BSU's offense tonight with all the short fields.
Ball State finally taking the ball at a normal field position, at its own 29 on this drive. Voss punting a little better this half.
Indiana has to do something to grab momentum back. Noticeably bereft of it since the half.
The game has been a dumpster fire of bad field position for the Hoosiers.
Well, there you have it a 70-yard drive from Ball State and it could be a huge one. IU's offense is sputtering right now and the defense isn't stepping up. IU's secondary is being shredded by Wenning at this point.
End of the day, Indiana has no sacks and no forced turnovers. Wenning is too comfortable, and the Hoosiers have done nothing to change field position or momentum defensively. This game officially in danger of getting way away from IU.
Wondered before the game if punting could be a factor in tonight's game. Definitely is right now.
Hello Nate Sudfeld.
Things don't go so well for Sudfeld, who gets sacked for a loss of nine on 3rd-and-long. Quite simply, Indiana has lost its fire on offense.
While IU can't get a bit of a pass rush, Sudfeld avoids the blitz to his right, then has to avoid blitzers from the left, and eventually gets sacked by another guy. Three-and-out for IU.
Nothing much has been happening here. A lot of stagnation on offense, until Ball State has begun moving the ball on this drive and is moving ever closer to the IU endzone. 5:20 left, and the Cardinals have the ball at IU's 33.
