IU's answering turnovers with 3-pointers. Hoosiers have gifted Michigan State about four routes back into this game, but they've thrown punches right after each time.
Izzo wants a timeout to talk about Sparty's last possession of the half, down 41-38 with 36.7 seconds left, 25 on the shot clock.

Huge shot by Yogi
mkillian247 on twitter..... I say a lot of stuff you wont care about.
Ferrell buries a three off a screen at the end of the first half and IU goes in with the momentum and a six-point lead.
Hoosiers were their own best friend and their own worst enemy in the opening 20 minutes, shooting 6-of-12 from behind the arc but committing 10 turnovers and allowing too many easy baskets around the rim in particular.
But the Hoosiers lead at halftime, and I'm sure they'll take it. Need more second-half ball security, and six points from Cody Zeller probably isn't enough.
44-38 IU at the break.
Big 3 to stretch the lead right there.
Honestly, outside of the stupid, mental errors, this team is playing excellent on both ends of the floor.
IU finished the half shooting 61 percent from the field (17-for-28), but besides Oladipo, the defense has struggled at times. Payne has been hurting them (no pun intended), shooting 5-for-6 from the field and scoring 13 points while also grabbing three rebounds.
IU has a very even scoring distribution: Sheehey and Oladipo both have eight points, Watford and Ferrell have seven each and Zeller and Hulls each have six.

Cody's getting moved by Nix right now in the block. And Nix scores. #liveupdates
IU wasting some good chances by fumbling the ball away and missing good shots.
Good job by Zeller of getting established position deep before the catch, but then he gave it away almost immediately and had to shoot a hook. Bailed out by a tough Watford rebound and putback.
Watford missed a couple shots to start the half, but makes an excellent play to get an offensive rebound and put it back in after a Zeller miss. The live stats tell me that IU already has five offensive rebounds in this half.
Indiana's overall court movement on offense, though, has been excellent this afternoon.
Gary Harris has hit three 3-pointers in a row. Admired the last one as it went down.
Indiana lead down to just one as we head to the under-16 timeout. Hoosiers were at sixes and sevens defensively on the last possession.
15:18 left in the half, IU up 50-49.
Is Cody in some kind of trance? It's like he's not even paying attention.
He's definitely not been himself over the last week.
Watford backed down the Denzel Valentine and shot over him a couple possessions ago. That's the kind of mismatch IU wants Watford to exploit more often, methinks.
great ball movement by MSU there
Nix has three fouls, Appling four. Appling so hot and cold against IU.
Yogi is playing great today as well. Attacking the basket
I see we're on NBA continuation rules today. Also Adreian Payne, I have no idea what to do with your 3-point shooting.
Man, this is a great game.
most entertaining game ive got to watch this year so far
Fans really on John Higgins, who I think has made like, six calls in a row. Under-8 timeout finds Indiana where it's been most of the afternoon — up in a close game, working hard to hold on. Cody Zeller tried to go right at Derrick Nix last possession and committed a pretty obvious offensive foul.
Oladipo on the bench with three fouls. Guess is we'll see him soon.
66-63 Indiana, 7:27 left.
In the first half, MSU shot 44 percent and IU shot 61 percent. This half, MSU is shooting 62 percent (10-for-16) and IU is shooting 41 percent (7-for-17). The foot's on the other hand now, as Ted Striker would say.
huge 4th foul on Nix there
Wow... what a pass
