We're here at Assembly Hall and we're ready to start chatting live. Starters for IU are Hulls, Ferrell, Oladipo, Watford and Zeller, as usual, and they're about to be introduced. Feel free to join the conversation for tonight's game.

Tony La Russa was just shown on the jumbotron here, if anyone cares. Speaking of the crowd, there isn't much of one just yet. They're arriving slowly and a little late, it would appear.
Underwhelming crowd for this game in terms of numbers. The east balcony is nearly empty, and tipoff is a minute away.

Starters remain same for Indiana — Watford, Zeller, Oladipo, Ferrell, Hulls.
Elston and Creek are both dressed, but Tom Crean said pregame that the former is still bothered by knee problems.

Hulls fakes a shot and gets an open look, which he misses. Watford was really outmuscled for the rebound on the play, but on the next possession, he gets open down low for a layup.
mkillian247 on twitter..... I say a lot of stuff you wont care about.
There is no secret of some kind that i am missing, where i can spend less than $250 on a ticket to the MSU game this weekend, is there?
Thats sad to hear and see.
First three shots taken by three different players. Not much in that, really, but it's an observation. Shaddup.
Methinks there's not, not at this point anyway.
7-0 run draws a timeout from Pat Chambers. Hoosiers hitting open ones right now.
Also, glad that Penn St is playing zone. A team we should take care of with ease, but could still prove valuable to be valuable if they do different things against the zone.
Chambers doing everything he can to ensure that his team doesn't get in an insurmountable hole early. He called an early timeout, and when Oladipo threw a pass away, he enthusiastically raced down his bench to get his players excited.
His efforts are not working. IU's up 7-2 with 16:29 left in the half. Penn State's just overmatched to start.
IU has slowed down since that 7-0 start, mostly because it stopped hitting shots. Cody Zeller just drew a loose-ball foul, but his putback was ruled no good, because the foul came first.
Hulls is feeling the shot-fake-and-drive play tonight. He's done it twice, and on the last possession, he made a good pass to Ferrell on the perimeter to set up a Watford shot. Watford missed, but Hulls was there to help with the rebound. He's started off 0-for-2 from the floor, but is playing well off the statsheet.
IU leads 7-4 at the first media timeout.
Maurice Creek is in the game, wearing 22 in honor of his friend Jamar Board who passed away. It's Creek's first appearance since Dec. 15.
Hanner Perea's long-armed rejection leads to a shot-clock violation. He's a bad man when he wants to be.
Announcers talking about how they are very high on Hanner....... then he blocks the shot.
Hanner Mosquera-Perea is checking in. For those of you who are interested, Perea recently put a picture on Instagram of himself on a horse, which was pretty funny.
Also, he just had a very big block that got people excited here in Assembly Hall. We're headed to the under-12 timeout with IU leading 15-8.
Very non-descript basketball here. Penn State playing here, Indiana playing harder. Also, Indiana is better. Leads 19-10.
Indiana's either not getting foul calls or it's not going up strong enough, but the Hoosiers would have 6-8 more points right now if they had finished some bunnies around the rim.
Excellent transition defense from Penn State thus far. On the last possession, Oladipo was visibily upset after he had a shot blocked during a break. IU still leads 20-10 at the under-8, though.
Yea its very frustrating to watch
Under-8 timeout comes right after a Pat Chambers timeout, so we all get to catch our breath. The refrain seems to be repeating for Indiana right now. They're clearly outplaying an inferior opponent and doing enough to make it look like it, but they could be doing much better, and there are still more than 27 minutes of basketball to be played.
20-10 Hoosiers, 7:17 left in the half.
Cody should be getting more touches. They won't be able to stop him
IU's shooting 35 percent from the floor (7-for-20), which is even worse than during its loss to Wisconsin (37 percent). Only four players have made a shot.
