Effross will stay in to pitch to Sturgeon. Big pitches coming for Indiana, which would very much like to win today, and guarantee winning the season series over Louisville.

And there's one of Indiana's patented double plays, 4-6-3. Run scores, but now there are two outs with a runner on third. And then the first pitch to Kyle Gibson is flown out to center for the third out. Runner stranded at third, IU leads 5-2 headed to the bottom of the eighth. Good pitching out of a jam by Effross.
Adam Schemenauer on to pitch the bottom of the eighth for Louisville.
As the lights come on for the first time today.
Schemenauer gets pulled after a rather ugly E1 allows Sujka to reach first while trying to bunt DeMuth to second. Ugly throw, he almost shot-putted it to first, pulling Rosenbaum off the bag.
Jordan Simons on the mound now. Nolden bunts the runners to second and third, one out for Chad Clark.
Clark hit in the leg. Bases loaded with one out, Cureton -- perhaps the toughest Indiana player to double up -- stepping in.
Cureton sends a 1-2 pitch to right field for a sac fly. DeMuth scores, Sujka moves from second to third. Schwarber steps in with runners on the corners, Indiana up 6-2.
Schwarber walks. Bases loaded again.
Travis swings and misses at a rather nasty breaking ball. Halstead will pitch the ninth, with Indiana up 6-2.
Final line for Effross: 3.2 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 K
Halstead comes in dealing, gets a swinging K and a fly out to center. Zach Lucas is the Cards' last chance.
Lucas with a nice piece of two-strike hitting, reaching for a pitch on the outside and blooping it into center. Adam Engel will get a crack with two outs and a runner on first.
Indiana wins on a 6-4 groundout, stranding the last runner. Final score is 6-2, big win for Indiana, which is in a very good position to host a regional in the NCAA Tournament now, should current results continue on through the Big Ten schedule. Hoosiers take the season series with Louisville, with just one more game against the Cardinals this season.
Hoosiers have won 12 in a row now, and of course they're playing Back To Indiana.
Great win. This team is really impressing me.
