Entire UK starting 5 gone.

  • Not that it means much but this pretty much locks IU as pre season #1.

Not a surprise they all left either

Going to be interesting to see how Kentucky shapes up over the course of next season. The Wildcats have a shot at Anthony Bennett still, but their recruiting class this year isn't what last year's was (amazing to say, given that they got the top-ranked player once again). Still, it won't have the same punch as it had this season, and it will rely a lot more on the veteran talent, I think, to get the ball rolling early.

  • Kentucky benefited from having Doron Lamb, Terrence Jones and Darius Miller all return to aid them on their championship run. Beyond Kyle Wiltjer, who averaged 5.0 ppg, UK has no one back. Their top six scorers are on their way to the NBA. It doesn't matter what type of class they're bringing in, it will be tough for Calipari to win the SEC (even with Florida losing Bradley Beal to the NBA) let alone the NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats will have the most talented starting five in the SEC and maybe the country, but that doesn't always equal championships...ask the Fab Five.

If the Jarrod Uthoff saga at Wisconsin proves anything, it's that players ought to be alert to look out for their own best interests. Forgive me, but it's true.

I would have loved to have the chance to do what those five will get to do this summer — go straight from college into the field of employment that they came to Kentucky to pursue all along.

As for Kentucky, the biggest concern is going to be point guard. Teague was a big key down the stretch. How do they replace him?

I agree. You cant blame any of them for leaving. As far as the Uthoff saga, that is some pretty interesting stuff. Hopefully for his sake they can get something worked out.

Darius Miller was Kentucky's 6th. leading scorer [by one-tenth of a point per game] despite only starting only 11 of Ky's 40 games !!! In my opinion Miller was the glue that held the KY team together. Miller led the "Cats in scoring 5 times and was their 2nd . leading scorer in another 5 games. IN ky's 102 to 90 win over IU in the NCAA Tourney , Miller came off the bench to score 19 points !!(KY only won by 12 !!) In another Tourney game [vs. Louisville] that KY won by a score of 69 to 61 or 8 points, Miller again was KY's second leading scorer in another non-start with 13 points !!~! Against IU in the Tourney game, Miller was the 3rd. leading scorer with 19 points. The 19 points that Miller scored as a non-starter (also in the NCAA Tourney game with Iowa State won 87 to 71 by KY) was second to only to Teague's 24 points !! There is no doubt [ in my mind ,anyway ] that KY will miss Miller a whole heck of a lot MORE than KY fans might be willing to admit
