  • Indiana has at least stemmed the bleeding, thanks to a Zeller two and a Watford three. At the moment, though, they're still struggling with rebounding and the offense still doesn't look fluid. Also still wonder about fatigue in some legs.

29-23 at the last media timeout.

  • IU goes on a little bit of a run, looking a little more together and focused on both ends. Michigan's lead is 29-23 at the final media timeout of the half.

  • Oladipo makes a great play to literally pick a Watford airball out of the net under the basket and put it in to cut the Michigan lead to four. Stauskas then hits two FTs to extend it back to six with 2:18 until halftime.

Sheehey 7-of-20 in Indiana's last four.

Indiana 1-of-4 from the line today so far.

  • Michigan will call a timeout after Indiana inserts Hulls down three with one more shot this half.

  • Tom Crean said this week that IU's guards needed to start rebounding the ball at a higher rate. In the first half, we've definitely seen that, especially from Oladipo.

In the entire Ohio State game, Oladipo/Hulls/Ferrell had a combined 10 rebounds. In the first half tonight, they have 12.

Oladipo has eight rebounds and has been IU's most aggressive, physical presence on offense. Ferrell and Hulls each have two rebounds, as well.

A totally useless play as Hulls throws up a turnaround three that doesn't draw iron.

On the one hand, Indiana can take away from that half that it played quite poorly and finds itself down just three points. Hulls was totally removed from the offense after two early threes, IU didn't shoot well from the floor or the free-throw line and the Hoosiers left some easy points around the rim.

On the other, you once again get the feeling the Hoosiers aren't in control of the game, if we can measure that, and that's been a crucial need for Indiana this season. IU cut down on the turnovers and rallied from 27-16 down to go in losing by just three, but Tom Crean's team needs a little bit more something to get right in the second half, when Michigan won't be so hampered by foul trouble in the post.

    33-30 Michigan at the half.

  • Indiana's bench 0-of-8 from the floor.

  • After starting off cold, Zeller came on strong to end the half, and he leads IU with nine points. Oladipo has eight points and eight rebounds. Hulls has six, Ferrell has four and Watford has three.

IU's bench hasn't scored, and has missed all eight of its attempts from the floor. Michigan's Nik Stauskas leads all scorers with 10 points.

  • If we lose this game, what will IU's seed be in the big ten tourney?

IU will be the top seed, no matter what.

  • Poor help defense from Indiana on the last two possessions, and it's led to two Michigan threes. Burke coming into the game, and Michigan is up six at the media timeout.

  • Hollowell, Sheehey with back-to-back threes. Unlikely spark for the Hoosiers, who now lead by two and force a timeout out of John Beilein. 48-46 Hoosiers.

  • Fantastic pair of possessions from Hollowell. He rebounds a Hulls miss and doesn't hesitate to push his way back into the lane for a layup, then has an open three and knocks it down. He's been getting some criticism on Twitter today, but he's been playing very well in the past few games off the bench on both ends of the court.

  • Indiana has nine second-chance points off 20 offensive rebounds, which is just remarkable. The extra possessions have basically only served to compensate for poor overall shooting (6-of-11 threes, 14-of-42 on twos).

  • Yogi Ferrell's chance creation rate is made by his on-court movement, but his passes can be too complicated and wasteful.
