(He said with tongue in cheek) Seriously ,I predicted in my earlier post that Illinois would win 75 to 66 or by 9 points but I secretly thought it would be by more than 9 points. The system that I use to make predictions came out 75 to 66 Illinois. Don't forget this Illinois squad was picked to finish 10th. in the Big Ten this season. Purwho was picked 9th. and (in my mind anyway) Illinois has a much better team than purwho this year !!!! My thoughts on Butler are that had not Rotnie Clarke transferred to Butler from Arkansas ,they would finish with a LOSING record this year. They may finish around .500 anyway becuse they will be playing in the Atlantic Ten Conference this year and not in the weaker Horizon League !! Only time will tell !!! Butler is currently 3 & 2. I will look up the rest of Butler's schedule in non- Conference play. I do know they have to play IU in the non-conference. More later !!
Butler's remaing non-conference schedule :
Dec. 8 At Northwestern
Dec. 15 Vs. Indiana
Dec. 29 At Vanderbilt
Jan. 17,2013 Vs. Gonzaga
And their first two A10 games are on the road at:
Jan 12 At Dayton
Jan 19 At St. Joseph's
That is 6 games I have a hard time seeing anyway Butler wins any of these 6 games. Of course, "Upsets" do happen,VBG !!
I think you're waaaaay off about Butler. They will win half of those 6 and are showing early season signs of continuous improvement. Do NOT discount Brad Stevens ability to coach this team as a group to a level beyond the capabilities of the individual parts
