In honor of putting four teams in the Sweet Sixteen, the Big Ten Network is putting together school-specific episodes of "The Journey," which will, according to a release, tell "the best stories of the past season."
Indiana's episode airs at 3 p.m. after the Hoosiers' pre-Syracuse press conference in D.C. Here are all the details:
BTN to Air Four Special School-Specific Episodes of ‘The Journey’ This Week
CHICAGO – BTN will debut school-specific episodes of The Journey: Big Ten Men’s Basketball 2013 this
week featuring the four Big Ten teams reaching the Sweet 16: Indiana, Michigan, Michigan State and
Ohio State. Journey editors have compiled a 30-minute episode from the best stories of the past season.
The episodes will air Wednesday and Thursday following the NCAA Sweet 16 pre-game press
conferences. At approximately 3 PM ET on Wednesday, BTN will air The Journey: Best of Indiana, directly
following the Syracuse and Indiana pre-game press conference at 2 PM ET. The Journey: Best of Ohio
State will air at 3:30 PM ET, followed by the Arizona and Ohio State pre-game press conference at 4
PM ET. At approximately 3 PM ET on Thursday, BTN will air The Journey: Best of Michigan State directly
following the Michigan State and Duke pre-game press conference at 2 PM ET. The Journey: Best of
Michigan will air at approximately 4:30 PM ET, following the pre-game press conference with Michigan
and Kansas beginning at 3:30 PM ET.
Now in its sixth season, The Journey travels to each Big Ten campus to capture best stories surrounding
each program. In East Lansing, viewers learned about Michigan State’s freshman guard Gary Harris
and junior center Adreian Payne, who has built a special friendship with a young cancer patient in
East Lansing. The Journey also brought viewers to Ann Arbor, where they caught up with Michigan's
sophomore guard Trey Burke and assistant coach Bacari Alexander, who takes a unique approach to
motivating his team.
While in Columbus, The Journey captured stories on men’s basketball head coach Thad Matta and his
roots in Hoopeston, Ill., junior point guard Aaron Craft and junior forward Deshaun Thomas, who talks
about how becoming a father has altered his life. In Bloomington, cameras caught up with Indiana
junior guards Victor Oladipo and Maurice Creek, who describes how he has maintained focus despite
sustaining several serious injuries throughout his collegiate career.
BTN’s coverage of Big Ten teams in the NCAA Tournament continues at 9 PM ET Wednesday, with Big
Ten Basketball and Beyond: Tournament Edition. The show also airs at 6:30 PM Thursday, and following
Thursday’s games, and at 6:30 PM ET Friday and following Friday’s games. For complete listings of shows
and press conferences, go to BTN.com/Shows.
