Had some Internet issues, but Kenny Johnson is up. Quotes to follow.

On Penn State's improvement: "When you lose a player like Frazier, you’re still trying to identify roles and have guys step up into their new roles. I think as the season’s gone on, they have a better understanding of what they’re trying to accomplish."
On playing them a second time: "They pose some different challenges. The gameplan pretty much remains the same, as far as understanding what their strengths and weaknesses are."
On Jermaine Marshall's big game against Michigan State: "In that particular game, he came out with an aggressive mentality, and he kind of carried it on."
On where IU is/is looking to improve: "We’ve been pleased with our toughness. This is a very tough, resilient group. Just having that consistency on defense, it’s a huge emphasis for us."
On defense's importance: "It’s something we’re taking pride in, because we understand defense is something that’s going to be crucial for us to win a championship, whether it be a Big Ten championship or a national championship."
Asked about Yogi Ferrell's strong defensive performance against D.J. Newbill, one of Penn State's primary offensive conduits, in the big win in State College. Says Yogi's defense is strong and important, but it's not the "secret" to beaten Penn State by itself.
Good quote on Yogi Ferrell: "Yogi has a very firm understanding of his talents, and he wants to be the best player. He may not ever vocalize it … but being around him, I know he wants to be. I know he can be."
Johnson said Ferrell might talk with Oladipo or Sheehey when he wants to work on his defense and works with Hulls when he wants to work on extending his range. He’s always willing to look for help.

Oladipo: "We’ve been working really hard on our defense, and even when our shots aren’t going, really playing defense at a high level. We did a pretty good job of that (against Northwestern), and we’ve just got to keep that going."
Zeller on Penn State: They’ve been on a losing streak recently, but they’re always confident. They play like they’re on a five-game winning streak.
Zeller on Penn State's confidence: "They are a confident bunch. Sometimes they don’t win. They’ve been on a losing streak recently. But they’re always confident. They play like they’re on a five-game winning streak. ... They’re always going to play hard, they’re always gonna give it all that they’ve got, so we can’t take them lightly at all."
Oladipo on the eye patch: "Thankfully, I lost that as soon as I came back, but they had me wearing it all the way back from Northwestern. I was taking pictures, getting my Pirates of the Caribbean on."
More Zeller Penn State talk: "It helps that we played them once before, just because we know them ...
They’ve gotten a lot better since we played them.We watched some of their more recent games, and we an tell thy improved."
Oladipo on PSU's 0-6 Big Ten record: “There’s a danger for every team in the Big Ten. It’s the Big Ten. It’s the best conference in the nation. Just because they haven’t won a game doesn’t mean they aren’t capable of winning.”
