Somewhat OT- Shabazz and Nerlens

  • Does anybody actually believe either of these guys will go anywhere but UK? I would be shocked. Nerlens is incredibly talented. Not quite Davis, but up there. They will be the favorite if they get both. No doubt.

  • UK will have the boosters pony up the cash to get them both signed. They've been doing this for the past 7 decades.

  • A lot of rumor that UCLA already ponied up $$$$. Nerlens seems like a done deal to UK. If Shabazz is smart he'd join him, hope this doesn't happen.

    They are announcing on the same show, and although not together, that still makes it look like they will be going to the same place. Besides, if one goes elsewhere, Cal will just get them to decommit the next day (remember Terrance Jones a couple years ago).

  • From what I've heard, it's a two-way race between UCLA and Kentucky for Muhammad, but the smart money is on UK. Noel is also a strong guess with UK, although I've heard Syracuse is by no means out of it and Georgetown is trying to push.

    I also saw an interesting article posted by Jody Demling of the Courier-Journal which interviewed top prospects and asked them where they thought Muhammad and Noel would be going. Choices were UK overwhelmingly for Noel, less so for Muhammad but still pretty in favor of the Wildcats. I'll post it if I can find it.
