As Zach posted on our MSU site, any questions you have about MSU baseball feel free to ask in this thread and I will answer as best I can today and tomorrow. Look forward to tomorrow night.
How do you pitch Hunter Renfroe?
Off the plate. He has started, however, going with the pitch of late but does tend to pull pitches a lot. Has a lot of success on inside pitches.
I honestly dont know much about MSU baseball other than their record.
Who is throwing tomorrow for you guys?
Also does MSU struggle hitting lefties? I saw where Zach made a point IU might start Will who is a lefty.
mkillian247 on twitter..... I say a lot of stuff you wont care about.
MSU hasnt announced yet but I gotta think it is Luis Pollorena, a senior southpaw who is good for about four or five innings and then MSU will turn to the bullpen.
And really, there is not a big difference with MSU vs. lefties or righties. Renfroe and Rea (their power hitters) are right-handed hitters but Frazier and Detz are solid hitters and are left-handed. Then MSU has two switch hitters in the lineup, too.
The more I think about it, the more I think it makes sense to try and go with Coursen-Carr, especially with a fresh bullpen. He should have the confidence of postseason success, and it saves your two weekend guys for maneuverability down the road, win or lose.

I like the idea.
If IU wins tonight, they wouldn't play again until the 21st. I feel like you have to throw Slegers, do everything possible to win tonight, and then you get to rest until Friday.
I understand the reasoning behind throwing Coursen-Carr though. You just have such a HUGE advantage if you win tonight. For that reason, I say put Slegers out there and let him go to work.
who do you think matches up better and ultimately wins the game?
Exactly right about Slegers. He could either come back and pitch Friday or be used in an elimination game Saturday.
On the flip side of that, he would probably unavailable in a championship series.
A lot that needs to be factored in, I would just go with whoever gives you the best chance TODAY. Maybe they are left-handed heavy enough where Carr should be the guy. Could completely understand why somebody would disagree though.
My gut says it's going to be Coursen-Carr.
