Hey folks! Again, neither Zach nor I are in Omaha, but we are here and ready to watch Indiana take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs in the Hoosiers' second College World Series game. Freshman Will Coursen-Carr gets the start tonight, and we're going to post the rest of the lineups very, very shortly.

Unprecedented, Oaken. That's great to hear, though.
Yea Im pretty excited. With work lately I haven't been able to watch a full game since the Regionals.
Feel good about about IU chances tonight. In reality, probably a tossup game, but not feeling that way. Win tonight, prime position for the championship series
Also, go hawks.
Beer is flowing really well tonight
Always the sign of a good atmosphere for watching baseball. Cheers.
If I were into hockey, them would be fighting words, mmarsden. Luckily for you, I'm one of the very few Michiganders who doesn't really care about the Red Wings...or perhaps that's lucky for me this year.

That big guy MSU looks awkward when he swings and run
We're just a few minutes from first pitch.
Well, the red wings did blow a 3-1 lead.....so i am going with lucky for you on that one.
That dude's huge. Just looked at his bio on the Mississippi State site...he's listed at 6-foot-5, 272 pounds. For reference, Kyle Schwarber is listed at 6-foot, 235.
Here we go~
Adam Frazier swings at Coursen-Carr's first pitch and hits it into right for a base hit.
Umm.... Idont like this
not what you want with Renfroe coming up
Basil's defense at short has been huge in the top of the first. Presence of mind on both outs has taken runners out of scoring position.
Those were huge plays
Could have been a lot worse. And less than 15 pitches thrown.
Could have been a lot worse. Coursen-Carr pitches around a bunch of early trouble and allows just one run. Also throws just 16 pitches. MSU up 1-0 after half an inning.
Ill take only 1 run after all that. Hopefully that will settle him down now.
